The mission of the Art Resource Alliance (ARA) is to foster the preservation of our cultural heritage through education, with special focus on the fine and decorative arts.

Art Resource Alliance

The ARA is a group of leading professionals who represent a wide spectrum of the fine and decorative arts, with expertise in the maintenance, planning and disposition of these properties. The goal is to provide a forum for collectors, professionals, and cultural institutions and to educate and advise regarding the stewardship and disposition of cultural assets, including issues of collection management and financing, provenance, risk management, financial and estate planning, relationships with cultural institutions and philanthropy.

The ARA will benefit the public by providing:
  • Lectures and symposia
  • Position papers and surveys of relevant issues
  • Database of public collections, categorized by focus and genre
  • Website to facilitate the foregoing
